Application/Post-App FAQ
Application
How do I apply?
The application will be linked in our Slack and Discord. From there you will be able to fill it out.Do I need to apply ASAP?
Not at all. It's better to take time to get to know members, come to some events and see what the atmosphere is like. Can I go to events if I'm not a member?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage you to go to events before you apply, so both you and current members can make sure you're a good fit. All of our events are posted in the slack and the discord (linked below), and if you need confirmation about place or time, feel free to ask.How long will the application process take?
Your application will be reviewed and accepted/rejected within 2-4 weeks of it being submitted. We do try to process them as quickly as possible. Is there anything I should/shouldn't add to my application?
All we require is that you follow the instructions on the application for each question and answer as honestly and true to yourself as you can. This is your opportunity to make an impression on the entire Collective, so show us who you are.
Post Application
Can I still go to events?
Yes! We strongly encourage you to attend any events we host while your application is awaiting approval. What happens next?
When your application is processed, you will receive an email from us telling you whether or not your application has been accepted. If accepted you will be scheduled to attend an interview (called an Add Meeting) where the members of the Collective will ask you questions and determine if you will become a member. What if I'm anxious?
As an organization we strive to provide an environment where members and guests can feel totally safe to be themselves. It's a fundamental pillar of who we are. Just know that all we are interested in is your authentic self. We fully understand being anxious about the process, we've all been through it ourselves. So don't worry about us judging you for being nervous.
